We sell fabric the way the district has always sold it — a conversation first, then fabric. Here's exactly how an order moves, how your yardage travels, and what lands on your doorstep. Anything that depends on your address and yardage — timing and shipping cost — is confirmed in your quote before anything is cut. No surprises in either direction.
Text, call, or WhatsApp (310) 622-2830 with the fabric and yardage you want — or use the order buttons on any shop listing, which pre-fill the message for you.
We check the roll, apply the volume tiers if your yardage earns them, and quote you the fabric total plus shipping for your address. Timing expectations are part of that same confirmation. Nothing is cut — and nothing is owed — until you say yes to the quote.
Your yardage is measured and cut from the roll in one continuous piece, checked by hand as it comes off — the same inspection habits from our pro tips guide.
Folded neatly for small cuts, rolled on a tube for larger ones, labeled with what it is. Whole rolls travel as rolls. Your order ships anywhere in the United States; LA pickup can be arranged instead — just say so when you order.
Small cuts travel folded flat in a mailer — efficient, and fine for cottons, linens, and anything you'll wash and press anyway. Multi-yard cuts are rolled on a tube: fabric arrives smooth, without the hard creases folding can set into silk charmeuse, wool suiting, or anything with a pile or a sheen. Whole rolls ship as rolls; a full roll of suiting is a freight conversation, and freight cost is arranged and confirmed inside your quote — never added after the fact.
Which way yours travels is decided by the cut and the cloth, and it's stated in your confirmation. If you have a preference — a deadline, a costume build that can't wait for pressing — tell us at quote time and we'll plan around it.
Your fabric, in the continuous yardage you ordered. A note identifying it: fabric name, fiber content, weight, and yardage — the same facts as the listing, traveling with the cloth. And your order paperwork from the quote conversation, so what you approved is what you can check against the package.
When it lands: unroll it fully, give it the light test and a look down both selvedges (you know how now), and pre-wash or rest it according to the fiber before cutting. If anything about the package doesn't match the quote you approved, message us with a photo — orders that start as conversations end that way too.
We don't publish guaranteed delivery windows or flat shipping prices, because both honestly depend on where you are, how much you're ordering, and how it has to travel. What we promise instead: the number and the timing expectation are in your quote, confirmed by you before we cut — and if a roll can't do what the listing says, we tell you before money moves, not after. That's the whole policy, and it has worked in this district for a very long time.
Once your order is confirmed, we cut it from the roll and send it out. The expected timing for your address is part of your quote confirmation — you'll know it before you commit, not after.
Our listings ship anywhere in the US. If you're outside the US, ask us — if we can get fabric to you sensibly, we'll quote it honestly; if we can't, we'll say so plainly rather than take an order we can't serve well.
Yes — pickup in the LA Fashion District can be arranged when you order. We'll agree on the details in your confirmation so it's smooth for both sides.
