Deadstock fabric for designers who sew small batches

You don't need a warehouse or a 500-yard minimum to make a real collection. We source deadstock fabric in the Los Angeles Fashion District — the same district the big labels buy from — and sell it by the yard, so a capsule run, a sample line, or a limited drop is actually within reach.

Why designers source deadstock with us

1

Low minimums, honestly

Shop fabric sells by the single yard. Custom sourcing starts at the yardage your run needs — a few yards to sample, more when the design is locked. No roll commitments, no case packs.

2

District access without the district run

The Fashion District rewards people who know the buildings, the jobbers, and which "designer overstock" is real. That's the founder's background — he grew up in downtown LA's garment business and learned manufacturing from his dad. You get that access by text message. It helps that the district sits closest to the source: Asia's fabric supply enters the US through the Port of Los Angeles, so what's here is as direct as it gets.

3

Limited fabric is a story, not a problem

Deadstock is finite — and for an indie label, "made from limited deadstock silk, once it's gone it's gone" is a selling point your customers understand. We confirm total available yardage before you build a run around a roll.

Built for small-batch production

Sampling: order a few yards of a few candidates, make your samples, then come back for the run yardage — we'll tell you straight how much of the roll is left.

Capsules & drops: deadstock pricing (often a fraction of retail for the same fiber) is what makes a small run's margins work. Wool suiting, silk charmeuse, linen, and selvedge denim are the fibers we source most — see the current rolls.

Specific fabric in mind? Send the fiber, weight, color, and yardage through custom sourcing. We hunt the district, send photos and a per-yard quote, and buy nothing until you approve.

The honest limits: deadstock can't always be re-ordered, colors vary slightly between rolls, and we won't list a fiber we haven't verified by hand. If a fabric won't survive your production, we'd rather tell you than sell it.

Designer questions

What are your minimums?

By the yard — on the shop page and for sourcing. Sample with a few yards; scale when the design is locked. There's no 500-yard commitment anywhere in this business.

Can I build a production run on deadstock?

Yes, if the run is small-batch and you confirm total yardage first. Tell us the full quantity up front and we'll verify the roll covers it before you commit. The trade-off is real: once a roll is gone, that fabric is gone.

How do you verify fiber and weight?

In person, by hand, before anything is listed — and burn-tested when a label is missing or doubtful. Specs on a listing are what's on the roll, not what a jobber claimed.

Do you ship to designers outside LA?

Yes — anywhere in the US, cut continuous. Plenty of our sourcing work is for designers who can't walk the district themselves.
